Botsmith vs SiteSpeakAI

SiteSpeakAI and Botsmith are both AI chatbots trained on your own website. SiteSpeakAI offers five plans, from a free tier up to a Business plan with unlimited agents, and adds live chat, human handoff, API access and a long list of integrations as you move up. Botsmith has two paid plans and a short feature list built around one job: answering visitor questions from your site. Below is a plain comparison of what you pay and what you get.

Price and allowance

These figures come from the SiteSpeakAI pricing page when we checked on 14 September 2026. The page shows each plan at a monthly-billing price next to a lower per-month price for yearly billing, and says yearly billing saves up to 17%. Growth and Business are also cheaper per month on yearly billing ($208 and $416).

How the allowances compare in practice

At the entry level, Botsmith Starter gives you 2,000 messages for US$19. SiteSpeakAI Starter gives you 1k message credits for $29 on monthly billing. At the middle, Botsmith Pro gives you 10,000 messages and five bots for US$49; SiteSpeakAI Pro gives you 3k message credits and five agents for $79 on monthly billing. You would need the SiteSpeakAI Growth plan to reach 10k credits.

Keep in mind that the units are not identical. SiteSpeakAI sells message credits. Botsmith counts one message for each visitor question the bot answers. On page limits, SiteSpeakAI counts training sources while Botsmith counts indexed pages, so treat the numbers as a guide rather than an exact match.

When Botsmith is the better fit

• You want the most answers for the least money. On both paid tiers, Botsmith includes more messages at a lower monthly price than the matching SiteSpeakAI plan billed monthly.
• You want longer to test. The Botsmith trial runs 14 days with no card. SiteSpeakAI paid-plan trials run 7 days.
• Several brands or locations need their own bot. Botsmith Pro includes five bots at US$49 a month.
• You hand out a link or QR code. Every Botsmith bot has its own chat link and QR code that opens straight into the conversation, useful on receipts, posters and social profiles.
• You serve Chinese-speaking customers on WeChat. Botsmith can answer on a WeChat Official Account as well as on your site.
• Your details sit in documents. Upload PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or CSV files and the bot answers from them alongside your pages.

When SiteSpeakAI is the better fit

• You want the badge gone on a small plan. SiteSpeakAI removes "Powered By" from its Starter plan. On Botsmith that needs Pro.
• You want a free plan you can keep. SiteSpeakAI has an ongoing free tier with 30 message credits a month. Botsmith only has a time-limited trial.
• People on your team should take over chats. SiteSpeakAI lists an inbox with live chat and human handoff. When a visitor asks for a person, Botsmith collects their details and emails them to you.
• You need integrations or an API. SiteSpeakAI lists Slack, Telegram, Discord and Zapier, and from Pro adds WhatsApp, Google Chat, HubSpot, API and MCP server access. Botsmith has no integrations or public API.
• You run an agency. SiteSpeakAI has a white-label program for client chatbots. A Botsmith account has one login.
• You expect to outgrow 10,000 messages. SiteSpeakAI has Growth and Business plans above Pro. Botsmith Pro is the largest plan for now.

How Botsmith handles a question

When a visitor asks something, Botsmith first finds the passages in your website pages and uploaded files that relate to it, then writes the answer from those passages and links to where it found them. If nothing supports an answer, it tells the visitor it is not sure instead of inventing one. Any question it could not answer lands in your dashboard, and once you answer it there the bot uses your wording from then on. The chat code only works on your own domains, and you can turn the public chat link off whenever you like.

Trying Botsmith if you use SiteSpeakAI today

1. Create a Botsmith bot with your website address during the free trial. Leave your SiteSpeakAI agent live while you compare.
2. Upload any files you trained SiteSpeakAI on that are not published on your site.
